Golden Globes: Ariana Grande, Adam Brody & More First-Time Nominees

At the 2025 Golden Globes, stars like Wicked’s Ariana Grande, Nobody Wants This‘ Adam Brody, Hit Man‘s Glen Powell, Emilia Pérez‘s Zoe Saldaña and more will be first-time nominees.

Today is going to be pure gold. 

Back in December, the 2025 Golden Globes nominees were revealed, and the the annual celebration of film and television has finally arrived.

On the film side, Emilia Pérez is the most-nominated movie with 10 nods followed by The Brutalist with seven and Conclave with six. As for TV’s big contenders, The Bearsee the full list here).

For some nominees, the 82nd annual award show, hosted by Nikki Glaser, marks another opportunity to go for the gold. For others, it’s the first time they’ve been in the running for the honor.

Take Wicked‘s Ariana Grande, who is making her debut on the Golden Globes nominations list with her nod for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. Adam Brody is also a first-time nominee, with his role in Nobody Wants This landing him in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy category.

Fans will have to wait until the big night to see who wins the award when the 2025 Golden Globes airs on CBS and streams on Paramount+ Jan. 5, 2025 starting at 8 p.m. EST.

Although, one of the winners has already been announced: Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award for his contributions to television. Still, he’s hardly a Golden Globes rookie. The Cheers star has been nominated a whopping 13 times and has taken home three trophies.

Ariana Grande

The singer has been changed for good because now she’s a Golden Globes nominee. Ariana received a nod in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked.

Adam Brody

Congratulations, Seth Cohen—er, Adam. The O.C. alum nabbed his first-ever Golden Globes nomination in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy category for his role in Nobody Wants This.

Pamela Anderson

The Baywatch star received a Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama nomination for her role in The Last Showgirl.

Maya Erskine

We spy a Golden Globes nominee! Maya received a nod in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama group for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Cristin Milioti

Glen Powell

The Top Gun: Maverick alum just soared to a new level. Glen landed a Golden Globes nomination in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy group for his role in Hit Man.

Richard Gadd

Oh baby! Richard is a Golden Globes nominee. The Baby Reindeer creator earned a nomination in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television group. The show also received a nod in the Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television category.
