Glen Powell, Jamie Foxx & More Turn Golden Globes Into a Family Affair

The 2025 Golden Globes proved to be the perfect opportunity for family bonding, with stars from Nikki Glaser to Angelina Jolie bringing along relatives as their plus ones.

At the 2025 Golden Globes, stars were keeping it in the family.

And Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser set the tone for the Jan. 5 ceremony by posing on the red carpet outside of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills alongside her parents Julie Glaser and Edward J. Glaser, as well as her sister Lauren Glaser Green and her brother-in-law Matt Green

The evening’s emcee was not the only one to have her relatives by her side. Maria star Angelina Jolie—who is known to bring along her and ex Brad Pitt’s notoriously private kids for star-studded events—shared the spotlight with her eldest daughter, 19-year-old Zahara. (See every star who walked the red carpet here.)

Although the Spelman student did not see her mother—who was up for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama against The Last Showgirl’s Pamela Anderson, Babygirl’s Nicole Kidman, The Room Next Door’s Tilda Swinton and I’m Still Here’s Fernanda Torres—nab a win she did perfectly compliment Angelina in a white floor length gown with black, embroidered tree design. (See every winner, including Best Actress, here.)

Glen Powell was another star whose family was an unsurprising presence on the red carpet. Indeed, the Hit Man actor often walks red carpets with his parents Glen Powell Sr. and Cyndy Powell, and the 82nd Golden Globes ceremony was no exception. However, his mom emphasized just how important Glen’s nod for the Richard Linklater film was to the family.

It’s a big night for us,” Glen’s mom gushed exclusively to Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Golden Globes. Hit Man is one of those that he found, he wrote and produced. It’s a journey that we’ve been on a long time and we’re really proud.”

Meanwhile, Margaret Qualley’s choice to bring along her dad Paul J. Qualley was more spontaneous. Although The Substance star—who was nominated for Best Actress alongside Emilia Perez’s Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña, The Brutalist’s Felicity Jones, Wicked’s Ariana Grande, and Conclave’s Isabella Rossellini—has been married to record producer Jack Antonoff since 2023, she shared why he could not be by her side for her big night.

“He’s not here, he’s sick,” Margaret, whose mom is Andie MacDowell, told Variety on the red carpet. “But my dad’s here instead, so that’s nice.”
