Orlando Bloom shared how he and fiancé Katy Perry rang in the new year during their relaxing trip to Japan.
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry loved their getaway to Japan unconditionally.
Indeed, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and the “Firework” singer—who got engaged in 2019—celebrated the new year with a magical trip to Tokyo. And, luckily, Orlando documented all the best parts in his latest Instagram photo dump.
“Japan Tokyo, my home away from home,” the 47-year-old wrote in his Jan. 5 Instagram post. “Amazing to ring it in with my Buddhist family.”
Among the photos from their getaway was a pic of the two posing side-by-side in front of a Buddhist temple, an adorable selfie in matching black hats and even a shot of the actor ringing in 2025 in the most zen way possible—a yoga session with a stunning view.
But while the couple—who share four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom—spent the end of 2024 finding serenity in Savasana, Katy recently revealed that not everything in their relationship is always so peaceful.
“Orlando and I, when we argue, we argue kinda hot and fast and then cool really quickly,” the 40-year-old told Zane Lowe during a September interview with Apple Music. “It’s like, ‘la la la I love you. Let’s move on.’”
“He’s a real sage, she continued. “We both have parts of ourselves, our highest good and our ego. When the ego is running the show then it’s like, ‘whoa.’ But when that’s in check we’re both something else.”
And while every couple has their ups and downs, the “Hot N Cold” singer has been sure to show her appreciation to her fiancé—also dad to son Flynn, 14, with ex Miranda Kerr—when he shows his love through acts of service. Although, it may not be in the way you’d think.
“If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all,” Katy told Alex Cooper on a September episode of Call Her Daddy, “and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d–k sucked.”
“Help around the house, share the load or help the load be lighter,” she added. “The load can be so heavy for women, and there’s so many invisible things that we do, and it’s literally about sharing that load.”
And as a mom, Katy’s main priority was making sure that she and Orlando were the parents they could be for Daisy—who recently made her singing debut on her mom’s new song “Wonder.”
“We want to evolve,” the former American Idol judge explained on the podcast. “That’s I think why we’re in our relationship is to become better humans so we can raise this beautiful human being.”
