Spider-Man’s Marisa Tomei Reacts to Tom Holland & Zendaya’s Engagement

After Tom Holland and Zendaya’s engagement was confirmed, Marisa Tomei, who played Aunt May in the Spider-Man franchise, shared a sweet message.

Zendaya and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man family is spinning out over their engagement news.

After the Disney alum sported her engagement ring at the 2025 Golden Globes Jan. 5, with the couple’s happy news confirmed a day later, their Spider-Man costar Marisa Tomei couldn’t help but join in on wishing them the best on their newest chapter.

Alongside a photo of Zendaya and Tom at the 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home Los Angeles premiere, the Oscar winner, who played Aunt May to Tom’s Peter Parker in the franchise, gushed with a kiss emoji, “Congrats you two, xoxo.”

And while Zendaya and Tom, both 28, have yet to speak out about their happy news, multiple outlets confirmed Jan. 6 that they took the next step in their relationship.

As for the rock Zendaya sported on the Golden Globes red carpet? It appears to be a 5.02ct East-West cushion Diamond Button Back ring by British designer Jessica McCormack, which eagle-eyed fans found Zendaya has had her eye on since 2022.

Naturally, fans have not been able to contain their excitement over the couple’s engagement, especially after Zendaya stepped out at a screening of Challengers in Los Angeles Jan. 6 sporting the ring again.

Upon noticing the piece of jewelry among the Euphoria star’s latest look, one fan hyperbolized on X, “I’m collapsing!”

But while the news is exciting, it hardly comes as a surprise for fans of the couple, whose romance went public in 2021.

Years later, Zendaya gushed over the foundation the couple had built by being brought together through work.

“You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside,” Zendaya—who will reunite with her IRL love onscreen in two upcoming movies—effused to Vanity Fair in November. “I love working with him.”
