Olivia Culpo shared that she gave birth to her first baby, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, with San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey on July 13.
Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey just met their newest teammate.
The former Miss Universe confirmed she gave birth to her and the San Francisco 49ers star’s first baby, a baby girl, on July 13.
“Colette Annalise McCaffrey,” Olivia wrote captioned an Instagram post featuring several black-and-white photos of the trio at the hospital, adding to her Instagram Stories, “Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world. A love like no other.”
The couple’s sweet addition comes four months after Olivia announced she and the NFL player were set to become parents alongside a series of photos of her cradling her baby bump, captioning the March post, “Next chapter, motherhood.”
Once the cat was out of the bag, Olivia’s sister, Sophia Culpo couldn’t help but poke fun at how the model tried to conceal her bump before sharing her sweet news.
Re-sharing Olivia’s Jan. 1 Instagram post, which showed the 33-year-old holding her dog Oliver in front of her stomach, Sophia, 28, quipped on her Instagram Story, “Now you all know why her nickname is Oblivia… she ain’t stealth.”
All joking aside, once Olivia shared her news with fans, she further gave insight into her pregnancy journey, including a babymoon road trip with her husband of nearly a year and participating in a TikTok trend that uses old wives’ tales to show how pregnancy symptoms can be used to predict the baby’s sex. As for her intuition, she guessed she was having a boy. (Although, she later revealed she was waiting until her little one’s arrival to learn the sex.)
And while fans followed along on her and Christian’s road to baby, the 33-year-old previously detailed her concerns about her fertility and how her diagnosis with endometriosis—a reproductive condition in which the uterine tissue grows outside of the uterus—could make it harder for her to become a mom.
“I want to have kids, but I want to make sure that I can,” Olivia said in a November 2022 episode of The Culpo Sisters. “It could be really hard for me to have babies.”
“Endometriosis can affect your fertility in a lot of different ways,” the 32-year-old explained. “You can have endometrial tissue growing near or on your ovaries, it can affect the quality of your eggs, scar your fallopian tubes.”
And with growing concerns over how the condition could affect her fertility, Olivia felt pressured to start her and Christian’s family sooner, rather than later.
“There is so much that I don’t know about what’s going to happen in the future with that condition and I worry all the time about my timeline,” she noted. “I feel like I have to have kids ASAP.”
The following spring, Christian popped the question during a trip to Utah, with the duo tying the knot in her native Rhode Island in June 2024. And while she’s made it clear she’s the running back’s biggest cheerleader when he takes the field, the out of the locker room that support goes both ways.
“You have to lean on each other,” Olivia told E! News last spring, “you have to have a healthy outlet to just to vent your frustrations.”
“Even when things are exciting—everything’s better with another person that you can share experiences with,” Olivia continued. “So being there to support each other is such a blessing and it really does make everything easier. And at the end of the day, when you have that attitude, there’s no worst-case scenario because at least you have each other.”
And while they are now balancing life with a newborn, the model previously revealed the ways she and Christian stay connected.
“We just started a book club but we’re the only people in it, which is really funny,” Olivia admitted to E! in September. “I’m picking out girly girl thrillers and I’m making him want to read them.”
“And then we try to prioritize date nights at least twice a month,” she continued. “During the season it can be a little more difficult. But just prioritizing one-on-one time. I’m very excited about our book club. I highly recommend that, because it’s been funny and fun.”
