Bretman Rock confirmed that he and boyfriend Justice Fester have broken up, emphasizing, “If we’re really meant for each other, then we will find each other again.”
Bretman Rock is focusing on himself.
The beauty influencer shared that he and his boyfriend Justice Fester have broken up one year after debuting their relationship on social media.
“We are no longer together,” Bretman explained on his Instagram Stories Aug. 4. “It was a mutual breakup. It was amicable. There’s one thing I want to get out of the way: we are still friends. We still have love for each other.”
The 27-year-old believes in “divine timing,” adding, “If we’re really meant for each other, then we will find each other again.”
Along with requesting privacy, Bretman urged fans not to point the finger at anybody.
Although he admitted that neither he nor Justice wanted to break up, he said they decided that this was “something that we need to do for our mental health.”
“We just want to focus on ourselves,” he explained. “Who knows what the future will bring, but right now, I’m locked in on myself. I would say this is my self-love era, but girl, I always have love for myself.”
For Bretman and Justice, they know what’s meant to be will be. After all, the You’re That B*tch author revealed that they had met at a club six years before their first date.
“I never really hit up on anybody,” Bretman told Quenlin Blackwell on YouTube video in June 2024, “but I could tell that his friends were telling him to hit me up.”
“I slid in there and I was like, ‘What are we drinking?’” Bretman recalled. “We took a shot, and then I was putting my lip gloss on and he was like, ‘You’re making me self-conscious. I feel like my lips are dry.’ So, I grabbed his face and kissed him.”
Bretman ultimately shut down advances after a friend told him that Justice was seeing someone. But in 2024, the content creator came up on his TikTok, which led Bretman to DM him on Instagram.
“Six years later, I’m like, ‘Is that date still on the table?’” he continued. “The very day, we went on a date. It went really well … I feel like we caught up from where we left off.”
