Kim Kardashian stepped out in a head-turning outfit for Diane von Furstenberg’s annual DVF Awards in Venice, Italy.
Kim Kardashian isn’t keeping up with fashion norms.
While attending Diane von Furstenberg‘s 16th annual DVF Awards in Venice, Italy, on Aug. 28—where Kim was one of five honorees awarded for their commitment to improving the lives of women—the reality star turned heads in an ensemble that looked like it walked off the set of Dune.
The futuristic outfit consisted of a silvery gray jumpsuit from Maison Margiela, featuring an attached cape and high neckline. The draping garment—which included billowing sleeves and wide-legged trousers—featured a reverse bodysuit, with fabric gathered over the pants.
Letting the outfit speak for itself, Kim kept her accessorizing minimal with only two rings. For glam, she kept her hair down and sleek straight with a middle part and wore a reflective lip.
The 44-year-old was awarded for her work with the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, an organization that works to end mass incarceration in California.
The other four women honored for their advocacy work included Hanin Ahmed (Vital Voices Crisis Response Program), supermodel Christy Turlington Burns (Every Mother Counts), Fany Kuiru Castro (COICA) and Giulia Minoli (Una Nessuna Centomila).
Prior to the ceremony, Kim enjoyed time with her eldest North West around Rome. On August 22, the pair stepped out in coordinating black outfits—Kim in a lacy, sleek black dress and large cross necklace and North in a black corseted top which she paired with a silver metallic, pleated skirt.
North, meanwhile, channeled her aunt Kylie Jenner’s King Kylie era in turquoise blue colored hair. She finished off her look with knee-high combat boots and a heart-shaped handbag.
The European outing comes just weeks after Kim—who is also mom to kids Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5, with ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West—clarified a decade-long rumor that she “forgot” North at a hotel in Paris in 2014. In the video, Kim exits the hotel empty-handed before turning around to retrieve a then toddler-aged North from the lobby.
“I wanted to show off the look before holding her,” Kim—who at the time wore a distressed pink hoodie, matching leggings and a gray coat—wrote on her Instagram Stories July 11, “bc her outfit didn’t match mine!”
She added, “I didn’t forget her!!!!”
