After the Hunt star Julia Roberts detailed how she and her husband Danny Moder are faring now that their kids—twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, and son Henry, 18—have all moved out of the house.
Julia Roberts knows she’s not a pretty woman when crying over her kids.
That’s why she initially avoided discussing the fact that her twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, and son Henry, 18—who she shares with her husband Danny Moder—have all moved out of the house when chatting with Stephen Colbert.
As she told the Late Show host during her Oct. 1 appearance on the talk show, “I don’t know if sobbing now is the best jumping off point to our interview.”
All jokes aside, Julia noted that she and Danny—who tied the knot in 2002 after meeting on the set of the 2000 film The Mexican—are enjoying this new phase of life.
“It’s all fun, honestly,” she continued. “It is all so delicious.”
But the August: Osage County actress admits she isn’t quite ready to be apart from her kids for too long.
“I love hanging out with them and spending time with them,” she shared. “Fortunately, we have had lots of visits along the way [to] this empty nest.”
Plus, Julia is quite fond of her little ones, adding, “I know everyone thinks their kids are great. Well, my kids are great.”
As for if Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry return the same admiration?
“I think they do,” Julia said. “They indicate that.”
While the Oscar winner and her husband have kept their family life mostly private over the years, Danny gave a peek at their eldest son’s smooth skateboarding skills in August, sharing a slow motion Instagram video of Phinnaeus at a local skate park with the caption, “who likes Butter?”
Plus, for Mother’s Day in May, the cinematographer offered a rare glimpse at Julia with all three kids cuddled together at the park.
“Mothers make the coolest stuff,” Danny captioned the Instagram post. “Love these guys.”
