Halsey announced that a “medical emergency” landed her in the hospital after performing her first of two concerts in Boston as part of her Back to Badlands international tour.

Amid her two-night stop in Boston for her international Back to Badlands tour, the “Without Me” singer revealed she was hospitalized following her Nov. 2 show.
“Boston I’m gonna be honest with ya,” Halsey wrote on her Instagram Story Nov. 3 atop a picture of herself wearing a towel headwrap, “after the show last night I was in the ER till 6 this morning.”
Though the 31-year-old (real name Ashley Frangipane) didn’t share further insight into the “minor medical emergency” that landed her in the hospital, she added, “l am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight! but if I’m pacing myself, that’s why!”
In addition to thanking Massachusetts General hospital and her doctors for being “the absolute best team I’ve ever met,” she emphasized her mindset heading into night two at MGM Music Hall at Fenway, writing, “LETS ROCK TONIGHT!”
Over the years Halsey, who is engaged to Avan Jogia, has been candid about her health journey. Five weeks before her hospitalization, she gave an update on her diagnoses of lupus and T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder—an umbrella term for diseases related to the overproduction of white blood cells—which she revealed last year.
“Just did another few sessions of chemo,” she said in a Sept. 25 TikTok video. “Had a new port placed.”
Indeed, the “Bad at Love” singer, mom to son Ender Ridley Aydin, 4, with ex Alev Aydin, panned the camera down to two bandages on her chest to reveal where the port was inserted to deliver her chemotherapy, which is often used to target the abnormal cells associated with T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders.
Beyond her medical updates, though, Halsey—whose latest album The Great Impersonator captures her harrowing experience with her health struggles—made sure to lean into spooky season with Avan.
In a risqué Halloween post, the “Now or Never” singer and Victorious alum posed nude together in bed while covered in blood and wrapped in stained white sheets.
In the caption, Halsey quipped, “Big night out.”
