Emma Stone shared an adorable PDA moment with her husband Dave McCary while walking the red carpet Aug. 28 at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her forthcoming film Bugonia.
Emma Stone and Dave McCary are showing each other all kinds of kindness at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.
The two-time Oscar winner and Saturday Night Live alum stepped out in the Italian city for the Aug. 28 premiere of her forthcoming film Bugonia, and the couple shared some heart-melting PDA during the rare outing.
For the screening, Emma, 36, stunned in a floor-length silver gown with a bubble skirt and two-toned stitching as she walked hand in hand across the red carpet next to her husband of five years, who looked classy in a simple black tux.
And that wasn’t the only time the pair cozied up at the premiere of the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, which also stars Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis and Alicia Silverstone. At another point in the evening, Dave, 40, draped his hand around Emma’s waist while he planted a sweet kiss on her cheek.
As for who didn’t make an appearance during the couple’s PDA-filled date night? Emma and Dave’s 4-year-old daughter Louise Jean.
However, that doesn’t mean she’s not always in their hearts. In fact, Emma recently revealed that becoming a mother to her little one has completely shifted how she thinks about taking on acting roles.
“It’s streamlined everything,” Emma told Vogue in an interview published Aug. 11. “It’s a clichéd thing to say, but it changes everything. And simplifies everything.”
And the La La Land star noted that it’s a welcome change, saying, “There’s nothing I feel luckier about.”
She added, “She’s the greatest gift of my life, for sure.”
As for her partner? Emma expressed being equally grateful for Dave—who she tied the knot with in 2020—while accepting her Best Actress trophy for her performance in Poor Things at the 2024 Oscars.
“I really just want to thank my family: my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave—I love you so much,” she said on stage at the time. “And most importantly, my daughter who’s going to be 3 in three days and has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
