Ice-T and Coco Austin’s daughter, 9-year-old Chanel, embraced her first day of 4th grade with a new blue look.
Coco Austin is seeing colors.
After all, her and Ice-T’s daughter Chanel, 9, started her first day of 4th grade with blue-streaked hair, proving she’ll always head back to school in style.
“First days of school are always sweet and bitter for me,” Coco wrote on her Sept. 4 Instagram post, which sees Chanel showing off her blue locks. “I hate to see her go but love to see her excited about school and to see her friends. I hate to admit this, but I’m jealous of school sometimes because they spend more time with her more than me during the year.”
Though the Ice Loves Coco star, 46, feels blue about spending less time with her daughter, she’s “proud of the little human she has become.”
As for Chanel’s striking hair color, Coco revealed that her little one was the mastermind behind the new ‘do.
“Had some fun with Chanel’s hair recently,” she captioned the Aug. 25 post, including a closer look at her daughter’s bright blue streaks blending into her brunette hair. “She’s been feeling the color blue lately, so I finally gave in.”
And while Chanel took after mom in experimenting with her hair, she’s certainly Ice-T’s twin. Indeed, the little one has always looked like her dad, and the Law & Order: SVU alum showed off their similar features earlier this year.
“At some point,” Ice-T (born Tracy Marrow) wrote alongside an adorable photo of him and Chanel posted to X in January, “you realize there’s someone watching every move you make.”
But despite their striking resemblance, the 67-year-old—who is also dad to daughter LaTesha, 49, and son Tracy Jr., 33, from previous relationships—admitted that his youngest doesn’t always enjoy being compared to him.
“I think she kind of gets irritated with people telling her she looks like her dad instead of her mom,” the “New Jack Hustler” rapper told Today in 2023. “But if you look at any old pictures of Coco, there’s similarities there. I wouldn’t want her to keep looking like her dad. She’s finding herself.”
