Nearly eight months after Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen announced their divorce following 13 years of marriage, the Confessions of a Shopaholic star shared a rare message. 

Isla Fisher is grateful for a fresh start. 

Just eight months after the Confessions of a Shopaholic star and Sacha Baron Cohen shared they were divorcing following 13 years of marriage, she shared a message to celebrate the New Year. 

“I’m ending 2024 with gratitude,” Isla wrote in an Instagram post Jan 1. “For my family and old friends who supported and loved me, to the new friends who have opened their hearts and homes to me and my children, and to those who keep shooting texts to check in. I love you all and I wish you the happiest 2025.”

Alongside the note, which was written in yellow text beside a glowy golden hour selfie, Isla added in the caption, “See you next year!”

Later, the 48-year-old—who shares two daughters and one son with Sacha—gave a glimpse into the spa experience she had to ring in the new year. 

“This has been the most incredible way to spend the new year,” Isla gushed. “Therapeutic fasting, integrative medicine, inspiring treatments for the spirit and soul. Every kind of therapy cocooned in warmth and care—the kindest hands. Everything you repress just comes out, all at once.”

Isla’s heartening life updates come after staying largely out of the spotlight following her and her ex’s divorce announcement. The former couple—who got married in 2010 after a six-year engagement—shared they were going their separate ways back in April. 

“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years,” the former couple wrote in a statement, alongside a photo of them posing with tennis racquets, “we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.”

The former pair went on to emphasize their need for privacy for themselves and their children as they embarked on the life transition. 

“We forever share in our devotion and love for our children,” they continued. “We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
