Untangling Those Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner Reconciliation Rumors

After rumors that Ben Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Garner reconciled their relationship following their son Samuel’s birthday party, multiple outlets confirmed they’re just friends.

Ben Affleck isn’t interested in seeing about this girl.

After the Justice League star was seen holding ex-wife Jennifer Garner close while at their son Samuel’s 13th birthday party, there were speculations that their co-parenting relationship turned romantic. Their goodwill, however, is strictly platonic, according to multiple outlets

With Affleck single once again following his split from Jennifer Lopez after two years of marriage, it’s no surprise that his relationship with Garner—with whom he also shares kids Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15—came into question following the March 2 party.

During the festivities, Affleck had his arm around Garner—whom he was married to from 2005 to 2018during the paintball-themed celebration. But, multiple outlets emphasized that the pair are simply just good friends and focused on co-parenting.

E! News has reached out to Affleck and Garner’s reps and has not yet heard back.

Indeed, while Affleck and Lopez recently finalized their divorce, the 13 Going On 30 star has been dating businessman John Miller since 2018. Still, she and the Oscar winner have maintained a solid relationship since their 2015 separation. Along with being present at their kids’ celebrations like graduations and school performances, the exes also spent Thanksgiving volunteering in Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood.

“When you have children with somebody, you’re connected to them forever,” the Gone Girl actor told People in February 2020. “I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children. I’m very grateful and respectful of her. Our marriage didn’t work, and that’s difficult. Both of us really believe that it’s important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they’re together or not.”

Affleck, 52, and Garner, also 52, know that their kids also internalize how they treat one another.

“It’s important for my kids to know that I respect and care about Jen and she treats me the same way,” he emphasized. “I have a lot of respect and gratitude toward her. And I wish her the very best.”
